About Me
I am a Senior Data Scientist at Epistemix, with 7 years of experience using large scale simulations and heterogenous datasets to tackle complex questions. I am extremely passionate about the role that data visualization plays in successfully translating the insights from simulation and analysis into real world understanding and solutions.
In my current role, I work with clients to develop predictive models that answer their most difficult questions. Some of my recent projects have focused on urban gun violence, the spread of COVID-19, and user adoption of a new social media app.
I received my Ph.D. in Astronomy from Yale University in 2021, where my work on large-scale observational galaxy surveys and simulations first informed my interest in the ways that massive datasets can reveal unprecedented insights into difficult problems. I now use the skills I developed through that work to build models that address the problems faced by our communities today.
